Waterloo Regional Police have charged David Villanueva with fraud, after a 14-month investigation. The veteran conman has six prior convictions, and has left a cross-Canada trail of victims.

The security firm operating outside Drake's Toronto mansion — which calls itself "Canada's #1 provider of security services" — was set up months after a representative for the rapper told city officials he was “freaked out” by uninvited visitors and required “heavy security outside” his home.
