What is the best primer for going over spackle/drywall patches? I understand it is advantageous for me to prime so that my patches match the texture of the rest of the existing painted wall. Hey Everyone! We bought our house in July last year, it's relatively old (200+ years) so it has some quirks and charms. Some walls have been completely re-skimmed while others haven't. I'm currently renovating one of these rooms to be an office, however, the walls are like the seven seas, and I'd like if possible to smooth them out myself if possible...
